FAQ

Questions, answered

Everything experts and hirers ask most about Alteus Connect.

For experts

How does the AI skill extraction work?+

When you upload a resume, Claude reads it and extracts skills, tools, years of experience, and seniority. You then review and confirm each skill before it counts toward matching — nothing goes into the pool unverified.

Can I add skills manually?+

Yes. Alongside resume extraction, you can declare any coding and tool skills yourself and set a proficiency level (1–5) and years of experience for each.

Is my resume shared with hirers?+

No. Your resume is stored privately and used only to extract your skills. Hirers see your verified skill profile and match score, and are connected to you only when there's mutual interest.

What does it cost to join as an expert?+

Nothing. Creating a profile, uploading a resume, and being matched to AltVIX projects is free for experts.

For hirers

What criteria can I set for a role?+

Required and nice-to-have skills with minimum proficiency and years, engagement type (full-time, part-time, contract, fractional, project), start date, duration, location, languages, and budget.

How are the top matches chosen?+

A hybrid engine scores every expert on required skills, nice-to-haves, experience, and availability. The best candidates are then re-ranked by Claude, which writes a rationale explaining why each expert fits your role.

How long does it take to get a shortlist?+

Typically five days: kick-off on day 1, AI selection on days 2–4, and your shortlist with score breakdowns on day 5.

What if the shortlist isn't right?+

Every shortlist is human-reviewed before it reaches you, and you decide who to contact — there's no obligation until you engage an expert. You can refine the criteria and re-run matching at any time.
